	The San Juan Mountains are a very unique mountain range in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. The peaks are much more jagged and (don't quote me on this) were once involved in a lot of volcanic activity from another epoch.
	If you are driving, the best way to view these mountains is to do the very scenic loop drive through Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Ridgway, Telluride, Rico and Cortez.
